- Penetrant testing per ISO 4386-3
- Geometrical inspection and 3D scanning
- Failure analysis and reporting
Emergency response
Critical bearing failure? Repairs or new bearings within days.
24/7 support for critical rotating equipment. Our in-house lining and machining means we can deliver a repaired or newly manufactured bearing in days, not weeks.
Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting and failure analysis.
Repeated bearing failures are rarely about the bearing. We run root-cause analysis, rotordynamic simulations and bearing load calculations to identify the system-level driver and engineer it out, so the next bearing lasts.
- Root-cause analysis
- Rotordynamic simulations
- Bearing load calculations
- Performance optimisation
Lubrication contamination or loss, misalignment, overload, fatigue from vibration, electrical discharge and wiping from rotor-stator contact are the most common drivers.
We strip the old white metal, inspect and prepare the shell, re-line with centrifugal babbitt casting, machine to the original or optimised geometry, then inspect with ultrasonic and penetrant testing.
If the shell is intact and the geometry can be restored, repair is usually faster and cheaper. If the design itself is the issue, we recommend manufacturing a redesigned bearing.
Re-lining is the process of removing the worn or damaged white metal layer and re-bonding fresh babbitt to the bearing shell, followed by precision machining back to specification.
All bearing work is performed in our workshop in Stekene, Belgium. We collect from and deliver across Europe.
